ABOUT US & OUR HISTORY

Established in 2008, CIIT provides Multimedia Arts & Information Technology education that is crafted to equip its students with relevant skills that ensure great careers after graduation. It is the brainchild of Mr. Niel Dagondon, CIIT’s current president, and also the founder of Anino Games, the country’s first and largest game development firm.

The idea of opening CIIT came from the difficulty of finding Software Engineer, Digital and Multimedia graduates who were ready for work in the careers they were trained for. What few talents that were present were easily pirated by studios and production houses abroad. This limited the huge potential in growth in the Business Process Outsourcing industry for non-voice services. One such example is the global game development and digital arts industry which is constantly in need of talented developers for web, games, mobile application, graphic design, and the like.

With this in mind, CIIT was set up to offer high quality, industry-based education to students who have the passion and interest in this field. In the beginning, CIIT focused on providing 2-year vocational courses in Graphic Design, Multimedia Application, Software Engineering and Network Design. Only the best instructors, mostly active industry professionals who are capable of imparting the skills and experiences they have form part of the faculty. The curriculum is constantly improved in consultation with these practitioners to be relevant to the needs of the industry. CIIT also partners with prominent industry players like Adobe Systems, Autodesk, WACOM among others for up to date software and learning equipment. All of these give students a stimulating and comprehensive learning experience that prepares them adequately for the real demands of the workforce.

Five years down the road, CIIT is now a full-pledged educational institution that caters to both promising undergraduates and corporate clients who need quality yet affordable training in Multimedia Arts and IT. Our corporate clients include some of the most well respected brands in the industry, such as IBM and URC. The school also offers short courses to enthusiasts who want to improve their skills in the Digital Arts. These include Digital Photography, Web Design and Development, 3D Animation, Video Editing and Special Effects, and Game Programming. In addition, CIIT is one of the few colleges to offer a Bachelor's Degree in Multimedia Arts with a choice of specialization in Graphics Design, 3D Visualization or Video and Motion Graphics.
